As part of the Clinical Coding Standards Course, attendees must complete the Theory and Background and Key Definitions modules before attending the classroom based course. 

This module is aimed at anyone looking to refresh their knowledge of the Four Step Coding process for ICD-10.

This module promotes an understanding of diseases and operations described in case notes. It provides information on body systems, how they work together, and the terminology used to describe them. 

Note: This module must be completed prior to attendance on the Clinical Coding Standards Course.

• SNOMED CT Awareness for Clinical Coders - This presentation provides a basic overview of:
  
  • the difference between SNOMED CT and the ICD-10 and OPCS-4 classifications
  • the structure and content of SNOMED CT
  • the link between SNOMED CT and the classifications
  • the purpose and types of classifications maps
