This document provides the clinical coding standards and guidance relating to the coding of chemotherapy regimens from April 2020 using the National Tariff Chemotherapy Regimens List 17/18 and mapping table to ensure consistent application of the OPCS-4 classification.

The only changes between the April 2017 version and this 2020 version is to remove any reference to the use of high cost drugs to align with the changes made to the High Cost Drugs Clinical Coding Standards. The chemotherapy Procurement and Delivery codes (X70-X74) have not changed in OPCS-4.9 and the regimens list 17-18 remains the same. Coders should continue to use the 17-18 regimens list from April 2020.
